THE POWER OF VOLUNTEERISM:

            A one-day workshop on "Effective Implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)" was conducted by us at Al-Ameen Engineering College, Erode, through the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on 26.10.2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This workshop aimed to ignite proactive faculty members' mindsets, providing them the opportunity to enhance their skills in developing Course Outcomes (COs) and mapping them to Program Outcomes (POs). The workshop covered essential aspects, including awareness of competence, performance indicators, and the appropriate selection of Revised Bloom's Taxonomy levels: Low-order thinking (Remember & Understand), Intermediate-order thinking (Apply and Analyze), and High-order thinking (Evaluate and Create) within the cognitive domain. Additionally, it explored the Psychomotor domain (Perception, Set, Guided Response, Mechanism, Complex Overt Response, Adaptation & Origination) and the Affective domain (Receiving, Responding, Valuing, Organization & Characterization), as well as the role of Sustainable Development Goals (specifically the 4th SDG—Quality Education). The workshop employed a participative learning approach, and, as a result, faculty members demonstrated their learning by drafting new COs for their courses. They identified improvements over previously established COs and effectively mapped these newly developed COs to the revised POs (11), which were implemented in July 2024.

             I am pleased to share that I was invited as the Chief Guest for the Mechanical Engineering Program at P.T. Lee Chengalvaraya Naicker College of Engineering and Technology, Oovery, Kanchipuram District, on 04.10.2024. During the event, I shared my experience on the topic 'Cutting-Edge Safety Innovations in Light Motor Vehicles: The Role of Advanced Sensors' over two sessions with students and faculty members. I was truly amazed when I learned about the vision of Shri P.T. Lee. Chengalvarayar through available internet sources. He worked tirelessly to uplift the underprivileged and socially disadvantaged by emphasizing 'EDUCATION'. Despite living only a short life (1829-1874), he made an incredible impact. As per his wishes, a trust was established through his hard-earned wealth, which led to the founding of numerous educational institutions for societal well-being.         As the Coordinator of the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell, I organized a Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology (TNSCST)-sponsored workshop titled 'Procedural Steps Involved in Patent Filing and Challenges during Commercialization' in collaboration with the IPR Cell of Government College of Technology, Coimbatore, on 30.09.2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about patent filing, highlighting its significance at both the state and national levels, and identifying the challenges associated with commercialization. The technical lead from M/s Raal Tech Solutions, Coimbatore, provided an in-depth explanation of the technical details, fostering proactive interaction with faculty, research scholars, and postgraduate students, with a total of 34 participants. Numerous queries were raised by the participants, and the technical lead addressed them with great enthusiasm, ensuring the utmost satisfaction of all attendees. As a result, the participants are now motivated to propel GCT into new horizons by contributing to society. The outcomes of the previous workshop as follows:

  1. Seven design patents were granted.

    I am pleased to share that I had the opportunity to conduct two sessions during the Tamil Nadu State Government Sponsored Two-Week Offline Faculty Development Program on 'Innovative Technology in the Automotive Industry with Electric Vehicles', held at the Faculty Development Training Center, Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. The sessions, titled 'Automotive Safety: A Comprehensive Study of Current Trends and Future Directions' and 'Electronics Management Systems in Automobiles', took place on the afternoon of September 18, 2024 (1:45 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.). I was delighted to see the participants engage actively throughout the sessions, contributing to meaningful and effective discussions. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all the officials involved, both directly and indirectly, for granting permission and offering me the opportunity to share my expertise in Automotive Safety and Electronic Management Systems.      One of the sessions of the AICTE-sponsored ATAL FDP on "Biodegradability and Environmental Impact Assessment of Biofibres and Green Composites" at Sri Krishna College of Technology, Coimbatore, was conducted by me on the topic of "Mechanical Testing & Microscopy Analysis of Green Composites" on the afternoon of 21.08.2024. The participants were highly engaged, demonstrating their enthusiasm through meaningful interactions.     External Academic Audit was conducted at one of the Self-Financing Engineering Institutions, located in Coimbatore on 22.03.2024 as an External Academic Auditor.

      I participated in the distinguished two-day workshop on "Green Hydrogen Generation: Research Challenges and Prospects," sponsored by DST SERB at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University in Katra, UT of Jammu and Kashmir, held from April 27 to 28, 2023. This workshop provided enlightening knowledge about the generation of Green Hydrogen and its necessities.    I presented my research work on the Modeling of Rotary Tool Adapted Electrochemical Machining of AISI 202 online, in collaboration with Dr. Elango, Dr. Chun Kit, Dr. Lim Wei, and Dr. Parvathy, at the 19th IEEE International Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (IEEE CASE 2023), which took place from August 26 to August 30 in Auckland, New Zealand, on August 28, 2023.

         1. Acted as a Zonal Officer of newly established Anna University Zone-VII at Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri from 2016-2017. 

          2. Acted as a Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Government College of    Engineering, Dharmapuri from 2015-2017 (Except from January, 2017 to May, 2017) established almost ALL Laboratories with help of pro-active working set  Teams with the composition of Academic, Non-Academic and Administrative  personnel.

         3. Acted as a Deputy Warden for Boys Hostel of Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri from 2016-2017 provided studying friendly environment.   

         4. Acted as a Library Officer of  Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri from  2016-2017 and estabished a complete student-centric Library System.

  1. M.E. – Production Engineering (83.33 % -Gold Medal)
  2. U.G Project on 'Design and Analysis of Spring Coupling' and P.G Project on 'A down time Analysis' at India Cement Factory located at Dalavoi (Six Months)  and the industrial project experience gave me a new sight and helped me realize the methodologies for adopting the learned theory into real-time practice.
  3. Initiator and Mentor for successfully established a 'Business Incubator' cell (Central Government of India Scheme) at TPGIT, Vellore.
  4. Successfully organized a National Level Conference at the newly established GCE, Dharmapuri as a Convener on 22nd February, 2017.
  5. Acted as a Zonal Officer of Zone –VII, (Anna University), GCE, Dharmapuri from 2016 to 2017.
  6. TEQIP Phase II –Officer- World Bank aided Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (Sanctioned Amount of Rs. 12.5 Cr), GCE, Salem from February, 2014 to August, 2014 and successfully complete the Data/Performance auditing/Stock verification activities also steps have been taken to introduce a One Credit Course through newly established Industry-Institute Interaction Cell.
