About the Faculty Development Training Centre
The first announcement about Faculty Development Training Centre was made by Honourable Minister for Higher Education in the year of 2014-2015 in the floor Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. It was established in the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore campus at total cost of 9 crore in order to enhance the teaching skills of the faculty. It was opened by Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu through Video Conferencing on 24.06.2019. The Faculty Development Training Centre (FDTC) provides technical trainings to Engineering and Polytechnic college faculty members by Tamil Nadu State Government.
