RULES AND REGULATIONS COMMON TO BOYS AND GIRLS HOSTELS:

1.    Rooms once allotted for the academic year are not interchangeable without the permission of the deputy warden/ resident tutor.
2.    Students should not tamper with any of the electrical and other permanent fittings in the rooms. Any loss or damage to them shall be recoverd from the occupants concerned. Use of electrical appliances without permission will lead to expulsion of the students from the hostel.
3.    As far as loss or damage of electrical and other fittings common to all the students of block is concerned,such cost will be recovered on collective basis.
4.    Students should not arrange any function or meeting within the hostel or outside or within the college campus, without specific prior permission of the warden.
5.    Any student who is removed from the college will automatically cease to be a member of the hostel.
6.    Accommodation in the hostel will not be given to students who are not active boarders in the hostel.
7.    No student should stay away from the hostel on any day without the prior permission of the concerned deputy warden/ associate warden/warden.
8.    No person or student other than the boarder should be found in the hostel. If such contingency arises, permission should be obtained from the deputy warden concerned .if any unauthorized person is found in the hostel,action will be taken against the boarder in whose room the person is found and he/she will be expelled from the hostel.
9.    Abnormal activities of any nature causing disturbance to neighbours should not be carried on in the rooms.
10.    Students should not paste any posters/ pictures etc on the walls, doors, windows and shelves.
11.    When students go out of their room during nights for fairky long intervals, they should switch off the light.
12.    Students should not keep large amount of cash or costly items like cameras, electronic gadgets, gold chains, rings etc in their rooms. Management will not be held responsible for any loss.
13.    Married students are not eligible for hostel accommodation.
14.    Students should not keep mopeds, motor cycles,scooters and cars in the hostel premises.
15.    Telephones provided in the blocks should not be misused. Outside telephone calls should not be made.

FOR BOYS HOSTELS

Boys should settle in their rooms at 10.30 P.M. for studies on normal days and at 11.00 P.M.  on free nightdays (Saturdays). The boy students are not permitted to leave the campus or enter into the campus after 10.30 P.M. In extraordinary situations with valid reason they are permitted to enter the campus on surrendering their IDENTITY CARD to the security staff on duty.

FOR GIRLS HOSTEL

Inmates will be allowed to go home once in a month only if parents give written requisitions stating the reson, duration of stay etc. they will be permitted to go home only for valid reasons.The parents should apply to the deputy warden directly for permission to send the daughter home. The girl students are not permitted to go to guardian’s house for overnight stay, unless there is a specific written requisition from parents.
    Only 3 authorised visitors (including parents) are permitted. They should have the visitors cards with photo affixed (and signed by the associate warden) when they call on their wards. Viisitors are requested to visit their wards only during visiting hours.
    
Students should return to the hostel before 6.30 p.m.
    
Roll call will be taken at 6.30 p.m.
    
Students are advised not to wear costly jewellery items.
    
Students are permitted to go out during holidays for a maximum duration of  4 hours    

After signing in the register kept for the purpose. They have to get prior permission from the deputy warden, if they want to go out a duration exceeding four hours but limited to 6 hours.
