STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

  • M.Abhilash, K Rajkumar  and V.Balaji of III year undertook a mini project at TVS Sundaram Fasteners Autolec Division, Chennai during December 2013. They designed rotor profiles for a gerotor pump.
  • S.Mukesh and C.Edil Bert of III year won the second place in paper presentation and CAD Modelling at TETSUROFEST, organized by the Department of Mechatronics, Sri Krishna Engineering College in October 2013.
  • V.Aravind, III Year of Mechanical Engineering student has secured position at ECHOES’14 held in IIM Kozhikode.

BEST INNOVATIVE PROJECT

TAFE  Innovista, the one-day competition and overall, saw participation from 225 students. A total of 60 teams from nine colleges across Tamil Nadu showcasing innovative ideas and concepts in the fields of engineering, automobile, embedded systems, paramedical, social environmental concepts, tapping energy efficient natural resources and importantly rural and agricultural interests. Projects were set for display and demonstration throughout the day on 18th February 2014, where TAFE’s panel of judges evaluated the various teams. Government College of Technology, for the project “Leaf log using composted leaves as  biofuel" was one of the best innovative project award winners.

TCS BEST STUDENT AWARD

  • Th.R.Gowtham of final year Mechanical Engineering, received the best student award instituted by Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, on 9th July 2014.
  • Th.P.L.Sridhar of final year Mechanical Engineering, received the best student award instituted by Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, on 8thApril 2015.

         EFFICYCLE 2014

Six students of Third year Mechanical participated in Efficycle, a competition conducted by Society of Automotive Engineers and bagged the 7th place all over India.
